Golf Closes Play at Aggie Invitational

Bryan, Texas — Rice carded a final round 302 to close the Aggie Invitational in 13th-place at 48-over par.
Junior Harrison Hineline tied for 39th-place at nine-over par after closing with a 73. Senior Jake Benson and junior Jack Diamond tied for 57th-place at 14-over par. Benson posted a 76 while Diamond finished with an 80.
Freshman Rodrigo Martin carded a 77 to finish 17-over par in a 68th-place tie. Sophomore Thomas Bockholt III and senior Rishi Kejriwal tied for 80th-place at 23-over par. Bockholt carded a 76 and Kejriwal finished with an 82.
No. 12 Texas A&M won the team competition, defeating No. 1 Oklahoma on the first hole of a playoff. Texas A&M's Sam Bennett earned medalist honors at six-under par, one stroke in front of Texas' Pierceson Coody.

The Rice golf team will send individuals to the Lone Star Invitational, tomorrow and Tuesday, Apr. 11-12 at the Golf Club of Houston.
