Rice Finishes Second Round of Trinity Forest Invitational

Dallas, Texas — Rice carded its second straight round of 301 to move up to 13th-place after two rounds of the Trinity Forest Invitational.
Freshman Rodrigo Martin leads the Owls in a tie for 23rd-place at five-over par after posting a 74. His 36-hole score of 147 is a season-best.
Junior Harrison Hineline and senior Rishi Kejriwal are tied at seven=over par in 32nd-place. Hineline carded a 77 while Kejriwal posted a season-low 72.
Junior Austin Escamilla and senior Jake Benson both posted a 78. Escamilla is tied for 69th-place while Benson is in 73rd-place.
No. 13 SMU leads the team tournament at four-under par, 17 strokes in front of UTSA. SMU's Noah Goodwin leads the individual tournament at four-under par, three strokes in front of UMKC's Paul Foulquie and TCU's Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira.

The final round begins tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. with the Owls teeing off at 10:00 a.m. Rice will compete in groups with student-athletes from Ball State and UT-Arlington.
