Rice Continues Play at Cabo Collegiate

San Antonio, Texas — The Rice golf team continued play at the Cabo Collegiate, finishing with a team total of 321 to have a two round total of 640 and end the day in 16th-place.
Junior Harrison Hineline led the Owls with a 76 to sit in a tie for 55th-place at 11-over par. Senior Jake Benson is tied for 79th-place at 17-over par after carding an 85.
Junior Austin Escamilla posted a 77 to sit 18-over par in a tie for 81st-place. Senior Rishi Kejriwal is in 85th-place at 19-over par after carding an 82.
Freshman Rodrigo Martin posted an 81 to sit in an 86th-place and junior Jack Diamond is in 88th-place after carding an 82.
No. 7 Oklahoma leads the team tournament at six-over par, three strokes in front of No. 4 Florida State. FSU's Vincent Norman, the 17th-ranked player by Golfstat, leads the individual tournament at three-under par. Three players are in a tie for second-place at even par.

The final round begins tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Rice will compete in groups with student-athletes from Abilene Christian, California and Stanford.
