EmpowerHer: Women's Sports Initiative Launches

Rice Athletics is excited to introduce the women's sports initiative called EmpowHer Owls. EmpowHer Owls is a deparment initiative to celebrate the success of women's athletics at Rice University and raise philanthropic support for the next generation of women leaders.
From today until the end of March, we will recognize and celebrate Women's History Month by sharing HER story on the EmpowHer Owls website and on Rice social media accounts. During the month of March, the Owl Club has set in place a goal of raising $25,000 towards the Women's Athletics Fund or any women's sport-specific fund. Thanks to the generous support of Randa and K.C. Weiner, matching gifts will be made to Rice women's athletics with their own contribution to the Women's Athletics Fund during the month of March up to $25,000.
Gifts through the EmpowHer Owls initiative provides Rice female student-athletes with the vital resources needed to achieve academic excellence and athletic competitiveness, while receiving an enriching student-athlete experience through experiential learning opportunities.
