HOUSTON - The Rice Owls volleyball team returns home this Sunday-Monday to host the UAB Blazers (4-3, 3-1) in a pair of 1 p.m. C-USA matches. After starting the season 1-3, the Owls have rebounded by winning four straight to start conference play and have done so in style by winning 12 consecutive sets. Rice and WKU (2-0) remain as the only two unbeaten teams in C-USA with the Owls holding a one game lead over the Blazers in the West division. UAB is coming off a split last weekend against UTEP.

NOTES
- Led by junior setter Carly Graham, the Owls currently lead all of C-USA in assists per set (12.96) and rank 25th in the NCAA. Graham ranks third among C-USA players in both total assists (288) and assists per set (10.29).
- Junior middle blocker Anota Adekunle ranks fourth in the NCAA among active players in career hitting percentage (.395).
- Lennon currently ranks second in the NCAA among active players in career kills (1,537), sixth in kills per set (4.11), and third in total attacks (4,047).
- Through six matches, Lennon currently ranks 19th in the NCAA in points per set (5.14) and is 22nd in kills per set (4.46).
- Freshman Nia McCardell is fourth among all C-USA players in total digs (114).
- Junior transfer DS/libero Elizabeth LaBue surpassed 1,000 career digs last weekend.
- Graham recorded her 1,500th career assist last weekend.
- Coming off a season in which they won 27 matches, the Owls were picked to win the Conference USA West Division in this year's Coaches' Poll.
- Lennon and junior middle blocker Anota Adekunle were named to this year's 12-person C-USA Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Rice returns four starters and eight letterwinners from last year's team and will be incorporating six newcomers.
- The top four teams in each division will qualify for the C-USA Volleyball Championship. Southern Miss will host the eight-team, single-elimination tournament April 1-3 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
