HOUSTON — Rice Swimming head coach Seth Huston and former coach Doug Boyd were named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) 100 Greatest College Swimming & Diving Coaches of the past 100 years.
Huston is in his 19th season as Rice Swimming's head coach. He is a four-time Conference USA and CSCAA Coach of the Year. He has coached 10 NCAA participants, most recently last year as Ellery Parish competed in the 500-yard freestyle. He has led the team to three C-USA championships and top two finishes in each of the last 11 seasons despite not scoring in diving while coaching 53 individual conference champions.
Boyd served as the Owls head coach from 1998-2002. He led Rice to top three finishes at the WAC Championships in all four years and two NCAA appearances, including a 25th-place finish in 2002, the best in school history.
