Two-time C-USA Setter of the Year
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Rice Volleyball senior setter Carly Graham became the 24th player in program history to earn American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American honors the organization announced on Tuesday, earning Honorable Mention accolades.
Graham played a vital role in helping the Owls reach the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament, leading one of the most proficient offenses in the nation. The Conference USA Setter of the Year for a second straight season, Graham was an AVCA Southwest All-Region honoree for the second time in a calendar year after quarterbacking a Rice offense that ranked fifth in the NCAA in kills per set (14.38) and 9th in hitting percentage (.287).
Graham ranked 14th in the country in assists per set (11.10) and had her best defensive season of her career, averaging 2.80 digs per set. The Spring, Texas native, who was also once again named to the C-USA First Team, posted 12 double-doubles on the season and was a four-time C-USA Setter of the Week.
Graham, who will be returning for a fifth season in 2022, becomes the 23rd player under Rice head coach Genny Volpe to earn AVCA All-American honors.
