SETTING THE SCENE
The Owls (15-5, 10-0) enter this weekend riding a 10-match winning streak and have already clinched their second straight C-USA West Division title as they host the Roadrunners for a pair of matches. Rice's winning streak is tied for the ninth longest active streak in the nation, along with Kentucky and UMBC.
Rice will be looking to complete a second straight undefeated C-USA campaign, having gone 12-0 this past Spring season.
The Roadrunners have lost three of their last five matches and are 2-7 on the road this season. UTSA ranks 12th in C-USA in hitting percentage (.179)

- The Owls are receiving votes for a 10th straight week this season in the latest AVCA Coaches' Poll.
- Rice ranks 24th in the most recent RPI rankings, tops among all C-USA programs.
- Dating back to 2014 the Owls are 90-20 (.818) in Conference USA play, which includes a 45-3 (.937) record the last three seasons. Rice has won 24 consecutive C-USA regular season contests dating back to the 2019 season.
- The Owls currently rank in the Top-25 in the country in three different statistical areas: kills per set (9th-14.19), assists per set (12th-13.07), hitting percentage (14th-.275).
- Rice senior outside hitter Nicole Lennon ranks 23rd in the NCAA in kills per set (4.37) and is 26th in points per set (4.87).
- Junior middle blocker Anota Adekunle ranks 21st in the NCAA this season in hitting percentage (.402) and earlier this week was named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 14 blocks over seven sets at UAB.
- Junior setter Carly Graham ranks second in C-USA in assists per set (10.91), which ranks 17th in the NCAA.
- This weekend will be the final home matches for seniors Tia Grippo, Elizabeth LaBue and Nicole Lennon, who will all be honored during a pre-game ceremony on Friday.
