
Graham Selected C-USA Setter of the Week

Second award this season for Spring, Texas native
DALLAS - Rice Volleyball junior setter Carly Graham was once again named the Conference USA Setter of the Week after helping guide the Owls to a pair of wins this past weekend, the league office announced on Monday (10/4).
Graham, who reeled in her second C-USA Setter of the Week honor this season, amassed 78 assists over eight sets (9.75 per set) while also adding 23 digs (2.88 per set) in a series sweep of the UTEP Miners.
In a three-set victory on Saturday, Graham posted 28 assists and 10 digs. She then followed with 50 more assists in a highly-contested five-set victory on Sunday to go along with 13 digs for her seventh double-double of the season. In that match the Owls established a season-high with 69 kills and hit .344 as a team.
For the weekend, the Spring, Texas native had 42.5 percent of her set attempts go for kills and Rice hit .303 as a unit combined.
The award is Graham's fourth C-USA Setter of the Week accolade of her career.
The Owls (9-5, 4-0) are ranked No. 15 in the latest RPI Rankings, which debuted on Monday. Rice has a bye this weekend and will return to the court Oct. 15-16 at Louisiana Tech for the third conference series of the season.
