"On behalf of the NAADD Executive Committee, I'd like to congratulate the 2020 cohort of NAADD Diversity Initiative recipients," stated Jeremy Wang, associate vice president of development at Temple University. "This program is one that we are especially proud of, with another record year of 77 applicants. The selection committee did a great job in choosing our Diversity Initiative class for the NAADD Convention in Las Vegas. We look forward to welcoming them at the Convention to celebrate with our past winners in June. This year's recipients add another level of experience and perspective to our long list of past recipients."
Shaw joined the Owls prior to the start of the 2018-19 academic year from James Madison University where she served as a Development Associate at the Duke Club.
"We are proud of Jennelle in receiving this recognition and ecstatic that she will represent the Owl Club and Rice Athletics at this summer's NACDA Convention in Las Vegas," said Mike Melendez, Rice Senior Associate AD /Chief Development Officer. "Jennelle has been a catalyst in our fundraising success since her arrival on South Main. She is a rising star in the industry and this professional development opportunity will only expedite her growth."
