Rice Swimming Named A Scholar All-America Program

Coaches' Association Recognizes Rice's Academic Success

COLORADO SPRINGS, Col. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recognized the Rice Owls as a 2019 Scholar All-American Team with a 3.56 Spring grade point average.

The 3.56 GPA is a cumulative total from 23 student-athletes on the swim team's 2019 spring roster. Rice's 2019 GPA is among the Top 50 in the nation for Division I women's swim teams.

Last spring the Rice swimmers finished second in both the Conference USA Championship meet and the CSCAA National Invitational (often called the `Swimming NIT'). The Owls are under the direction of head coach Seth Huston, who recently completed his 17th year at the helm of the program.
