Rice Athletics Staff Reaches 100-Percent Giving For Student-Athletes

Rice Athletics announced Friday (June 14) that 100-percent of its coaches and staff participated in a giving initiative in support of its student-athletes. With 100-percent participation in making a financial gift to the Owl Club, the Athletics Department's fundraising organization, Rice is at a unique and elite level of commitment to the Owl student-athletes.

"The full participation of our coaches and staff in the Owl Club reflects our strong belief in Rice Athletics," said Director of Athletics Joe Karlgaard. "Few things are more compelling than the Rice student-athlete, and the entire athletics department is proud to support their efforts to achieve excellence in all endeavors."

Gifts to the Owl Club equip Rice Athletics with additional operating revenue, which enables larger strategic investments in things like student-athlete development (SOAR Network), expanded recruiting efforts, enhanced nutrition, and advanced technologies to track performance and accelerate recovery.

As the fiscal year comes to a close, Rice Athletics strongly encourages alumni, letterwinners, fans and friends to join 100-percent of our coaches & staff in providing a true student-athlete experience by making a gift to the Owl Club today!
