Mananquil & Walker Earn All-Region Honors

United Soccer Coaches 2018 All-South Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rice's Lianne Mananquil and Annie Walker were all named to the United Soccer Coaches 2018 All-South Region teams, it was announced this week.

The organization's South Region (consisting of head coaches from Conference USA, the American Athletic, Atlantic Sun and Ohio Valley conferences) voted Mananquil to first team honors and Walker to third team honors. A total of 42 student-athletes were named to the three all-South Region teams in 2018.

The Rice honorees trained under the direction of head coach Nicky Adams. In eight full seasons at the helm of the Owls' program Adams has developed at least one player to All-Region accolades every year.
