
Will Voetsch Earns All-Freshman Honors

HOUSTON -- Will Voetsch was named was named to the Conference USA Men's Golf All-Freshman Team, announced Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
This is the third straight year and seventh time overall that Rice has placed a golfer on the All-Freshman Team.
Voetsch is second on the team in stroke average, averaging 74.06 over 33 rounds. He was one of four golfers to participate in all 12 tournaments. He earned one top-10 and a team-leading five top 20 finishes. The New Vernon, N.J., native had his best finish of the year at the Lone Star Invitational, tying for ninth-place.
Voetsch also led the squad with 10 rounds of par or better, including a season-low 68 in the first round of the Border Olympics.
