Final Results
Cabo, Mexico — Rice shot a final round 300 to finish in 15th-place at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate, played at the par-71, 6,928-yard Los Cabos Querencia.
The Owls finished 42-over par, nine shots behind second-ranked Wake Forest.
Sophomore Mario Carmona was Rice's leading finisher, tying for 24th-place at three-over par after closing with a 77.
Freshman Will Voetsch set a season-low 54-hole score with a 220 after posting a final round 72. He tied for 41st-place at seven-over par.
Junior Kevin Reilly posted a 73 to finish 14-over par in a 65th-place tie. Sophomore Mitchell Meissner and senior James Lee both closed with a 78. Meissner finished in 71st-place at 22-over par and Lee finished one-shot back at 23-over par in 72nd-place.
No. 11 Georgia won the team tournament at 18-under par, 10 strokes in front of 30th-ranked USF. Aksel Olsen of USF took home medalist honors, one stroke in front of Georgia's Lee McCoy, Arkansas' Taylor Moore and Collin Morikawa of California.
Rice returns to the links next weekend, Mar. 11-12, when it travels to Laredo for the Border Olympics.
