Swimmers Host Four-Team Dual-A-Pool-Ooza Friday

HOUSTON -- With a talented group of veterans returning and one of the top recruiting classes in Conference USA, the Rice swim team hosts its first home meet of the 2016-2017 season this Friday-Saturday (Oct. 14-15) at the Owls' Competition Pool.
Rice's longtime philosophy to test itself has made for one of the most intriguing and challenging meets of the young season in the four-team Dual-A-Pool-Ooza. The 31-event meet features three sessions over two days where the Blue & Gray will go head-to-head against defending C-USA champion Florida International, defending Summit League winner Denver, and American Conference runner-up Tulane.
Owls' head coach Seth Huston, now in his 15th season at the help of the program, has liked what he's seen of the team's training so far. He previews the home-opening meet in the above video.
The Dual-A-Pool-Ooza is three separate dual meets held in three sessions. The respective (Central) start times, and full schedule of events, is as follows:
