
Schillinger Shines at 2015 U.S. Junior Nationals

Incoming Rice freshman Marie-Claire Schillinger posted some solid results at the 2015 U.S. Junior Nationals in San Antonio, one of the biggest 18 & under meets in the country.
Schillinger finished fifth among a field of 79 entries in the 100-meter breaststroke with a new personal best long-course time of 1:10.64. The Owl newcomer was also fifth among 70 competitors in the 200-meter breaststroke with a 2:33.09 (that just missed another personal best). The Orinda, Calif., native and her Walnut Creek club team were fifth in the nation in the meet's 400-medley relay, where Schillinger registered a 1:11.19 swimming the breaststroke leg of the event.
