The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recognized the Rice Owls as a Scholar All-American Team after posting a 3.43 grade point average during the 2014 spring semester.
The 3.43 GPA is a cumulative total from 24 student-athletes on the team's 2013-2014 roster. Rice's 2014 GPA was among the top 50 in the nation for women's Division I swim teams. Last spring the Owls won the Conference USA championship in swimming for a second-straight season, and it was the program's the third C-USA title in four years. Rice swimming is under the direction of head coach Seth Huston, who recently completed his 12th year at the helm of the program.
