Border Olympics Second Round Results
Rice University is currently tied for ninth after two rounds of the 2012 Border Olympics being played at the Laredo Country Club. The tournament wraps up with the final round Saturday morning.
No teams in the field are under par after 36 holes and only five players are at even par or better.
Rice was led by freshman Tommy Economou and sophomore Jeff Wibawa on Friday. Economou is currently tied for 23rd with a two-round 149 score (+5). Wibawa fired back to back 76 scores on Friday and is tied for 37th at eight over par (152).
The Owls 609 (+33) has the team tied with VCU for ninth in the 16-team field.
Lamar shot a 582 on Friday (+6) and has a three-stroke lead over host Houston.
The Cardinals' MJ Daffue is three-under par through 36 holes and has a one-stroke lead over Baylor's M. Bjerch-Andresen who matched Daffue's second-round 70 score.
