Rice University alum Michael Whitehead will return to Congressional Country Club Saturday morning to conclude his second round of the U.S. Open after storms in the area cleared the course for the second time Friday.
Whitehead had two holes to play when rain and lightning in the area forced suspension of the round.
For the day, Whitehead is +3. He is +9 for the tournament. The projected cutline to advance to the final two rounds is currently +4.
