AUSTIN - Rice posted a 17th place finish at the at the 43rd Morris Williams Intercollegiate played at the University of Texas Golf Club Monday and Tuesday.
No team in the field which featured seven of the Top 25 teams in the nation and nine others in the Top 100 finished with a sub-par score.
Oklahoma State shot a +10 Tuesday to finish 25 strokes ahead of second-place Arkansas while Southern Cal finished 28 strokes out of the lead to place third.
Rice shot a three-round score of 940 (+88). The tournament had 10 teams finish with at 60 strokes over par or more.
Rice was led by Christopher Brown who tied for 27th with a three-round score of 227 (+14).
The Owls are back in action April 10-11 at the River Landing Intercollegiate hosted by North Carolina State in Wallace, N.C.
