Angela Wo Named To C-USA All-Academic Swim Team

IRVING, Tex. -- Rice junior swimmer Angela Wo was named to the 2009 Conference USA All-Academic Swim Team, the league office announced from its headquarters in Irving, Tex., Wednesday (Feb. 25), the same day for the conference's championship meet to begin across town at the University of Houston.
Wo has been a key contributor to the Rice swim team's success this season. In the classroom Wo is a Kinesiology and Sports Medicine major who has maintained a 3.72 grade point average. The Houston native was named to the 2008 College Swim Coaches Association Academic All-American Honorable Mention and was also named a Rice University Honor Athlete in 2008.
Wo and the Rice swimmers will compete at the 2009 C-USA Championships this week. The Championship meet runs through Sunday across town at UH.
