Golf Signee Named Player of the Year

HOUSTON - Jade Scott, who signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Owls beginning next year, has been named the Legends Junior Tour Boys 15-18 Player of the Year.
Scott took part in six Legends Junior Tour events this year, racking up 950 total points. The range for second through 10th was 455-721 points.
During the year, Scott won the Texas State Boys Junior Championship (68-69-78=215) and the TLJT Tylerpaper.com Junior Championship (73-72-71=216). He placed sixth at the Tour Championship held last weekend.
Also during the year, Scott qualified for the 2008 United States Junior Amateur Championship.
Scott is currently completing his senior year at Daignerfield High School in northeast Texas.
