Rice University's golf team conducted a clinic for more than 100 kids at The First Tee of Houston's F.M. Law Park facility on Saturday.
Members of the Rice team were assigned different stations including putting, chipping, driving and a golf "obstacle course" and worked with young players on their game during the clinic.
The First Tee of Houston was created to offer young people in Greater Houston affordable and accessible golf facilities. The program primarily serves those who have not previously had the exposure to the game and its positive values.
The First Tee of Houston's facility in Southeast Houston is built on 70 acres in F.M. Law Park and includes a nine-hole golf course, lighted 80-station driving range, putting green, chipping green and indoor learning center.
