Owls Conclude Fall Season at Pacific Invitational

The Rice golf team finished 13th with an 873 total (285-297-291) at the Pacific Invitational in Stockton, Calif. at the Brookside Country Club (par 72; 6,777 yards) to conclude fall action.
Sophomore Christopher Brown finished tied for 20th with a 211 total (69-73-69), which is his lowest three-round score this fall. Two other sophomores Michael Buttacavoli (71-75-72) and Zach Wilson (70-72-76) were at 218 placed tied for 45th.
The nation's No. 1 ranked team, Charlotte (553), came from six shots behind Kansas State (547) to win the team title with a final round score of 271, eight strokes better than the Wildcats. The 49ers finished at 824 (278-275-271) to KSU's 826 (273-274-279).
Charlotte's Stefan Wiedergruen shot a 66 in the final round to finish at a remarkable 17-under 199 (66-67-66).
