HOUSTON - The Rice women's basketball team finishes its four weekend road stretch with a pair of games at Furman and Wake Forest.
The Owls (5-3) are looking to bounce back from a 0-2 weekend at the Colorado Coors Classic.
"We're preparing for two teams that will zone us a lot on the defensive end," head coach Greg Williams said. "Furman is a scrappy team that runs a lot of different sets on offense. They also will throw a lot of pressing defenses at our guards. We welcome back Emery Carter who was released by the doctor (Wednesday) to play this weekend.
Tip-off against the Paladins is slated for Friday 6pm CT. KTRU 91.7 FM and RiceOwls.com will have all of the action live with the pregame show starting at 5:45pm CT.
