Owls in Seventh Place at C-USA Championship

West Point, Miss. -- The Rice Owls golf team shot a 295 in round two of the Conference USA Golf Championship (Old Waverly GC; par 72, 7000 yards) and is now in seventh place heading into Wednesday's final round. Freshman Kyle Kelley continued his strong play with an even par 72 on Tuesday. Kelley's two round total of 141 (69-72; -3) makes him tied for fifth.
Houston (285-280) and Memphis (276-289) are tied for first at 565. The Cougars shot the lowest round on Tuesday with a 280, while UCF followed with a 283.
UCF's Sonny Nimkhum (72-66) and SMU's Will Dodson (70-68) are tied for first at 138.
