Palo Alto, Calif. -- The Rice Owls golf team competes at the U.S. Intercollegiate presented by The Maples Fund, this weekend, April 15-16, at the par 72, 6,742 yard Stanford Golf Course. The 17 teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. Both days are scheduled for a shotgun start with Saturday's round starting at 9:30 am (CST) and Sunday's action gets underway at 10 am (CST).
The Owls are paired with number-five ranked UCLA during Saturday's action.
Joining host Stanford at the event are Northern Colorado, Washington, Washington State, UCLA, USC, Oregon, Oregon State, California, UC Irvine, UC Davis, San Jose State, Kansas, Hawaii-Hilo, San Diego State and Long Beach State.
Last year, USC took team honors with a six-over 846 for the tournament. Arizona State's Pat Moore was the top individual after carding a two-under par 208 for the tourney.
