Owls Fourth at Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate

Franklin, Tenn. -- The Rice Owls golf team shot a 294 in round one of the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate (The Vanderbilt Legends Club - Ironhorse Course par 72; 7,190 yards) to sit in fourth place heading into Monday's round two action. The Owls were led by a pair of sophomores. Sophomore Kaz Hoffman is in third-place with a one-under score of 71 (37-34), while sophomore Kyle Kelley is tied for 10th with a one-over 73 (37-36).
Tied for first-place is Mississippi and host Vanderbilt at 290, only four strokes better than the Owls. UT-Chattanooga is at third with a 293. The Mocs' Mitchell Brock is in first place with a four-under 68 (34-34).
The 14-team field starts round two of the three-round tournament at 8 am (CT) on Monday.
