Rice Golfers Rained Out at Squire Creek Intercollegiate

The first day of the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Intercollegiate was cancelled due to the torrential rain that hit the north Louisiana area starting Monday morning.

Louisiana Tech head coach Jean Hall said the decision to cancel the first day of the event was made at 1 pm as rain continues to pelt the area with no relief in sight.

Hall said that depending on weather, the 18-team field would attempt to play at least 18 holes of golf starting sometime Tuesday morning with an outside possibility of playing 27 holes.
