Freshman Kaz Hoffman placed eighth in his first-ever collegiate event at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational with a one-under 215 total (68-75-72) last weekend.

"I am extremely pleased that Kaz was able to handle the pressure and perform as well as he did," says head golf coach Drew Scott. "I am also looking forward to him continuing this type of play as well as improving with each tournament."

The Owls do not compete until Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate(Vanderbilt Legends Club) that runs Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 in Nashville, Tenn.
