Men's Golf: Owls Place Fourth at ASU Indian Classic

Jonesboro, Ark. -- The Rice Owls golf team placed fourth in the rain-shortened ASU Indian Classic held at Jonesboro's RidgePointe Country Club (par 72, 6,539 yards). Only one round was played as Monday's action was washed away. The Owls, on Tuesday, fired a 291 in the event's only round of action.

Illinois State's Kyle Vasel tied a course record with a 65 and ISU?s team score of 275 is a new tournament record for one round.

The Owls' Addison Awe, a true freshman, placed tied for fifth with a career round-low of 70 (-2).
