The Rice Owls golf team competes this Monday and Tuesday at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate, which is hosted by Louisiana Tech and held at the Squire Creek CC (par 72; 7,105 yards) in Choudrant, La. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday
Joining the Owls at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate: Ark.-Little Rock, Arkansas State, Centenary, Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Nebraska, New Orleans, North Texas, Ole Miss, Rice, Sam Houston State, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, Stephen F. Austin, Texas Arlington, Tulane, and Western Kentucky.
Heading to Louisiana for Rice are senior Parker LaBarge, sophomores Addison Awe and Jeff Krakowiak, and freshmen Kaz Hoffman and Kyle Kelley.
Rice mentor Drew Scott hopes the squad capitalizes on it's final round perfomance at last week's Baylor Invitational. "I am looking forward to this tournament that features a solid field on a great golf course and I hope we continue our strong play from last weeks's final round."
