Men's Golf: 19th HOLE with Matt Toohey

This week's 19th HOLE features junior Matt Toohey, who is from Fair Oaks Ranch and is a political science major.

Overall:
Golf for me is a game of feel. I rarely use yardage markers and I have a hard time making technical changes in my swing. Aside from the fundamentals, I mainly work on hitting pitch shots into trash cans in order to get my distances mastered.

Driver:
I use the new K driver from Titleist. I have a X 500 steel shaft tipped 4?. I love this driver because I average about 340 yards off the tee.

Irons:
Hogan blades. These clubs are the best on the market. My favorite irons are the 2 iron and the E iron. The E stands for Equalizer. I don?t know why they call it that, but I?m sure Mr. Hogan had something to do with it. I like the 2 iron because it looks like a butterknife

Putter:
I use the new HOG putter. It looks ugly, but like they say, looks can be deceiving.

Wedges:
King Cobra 53 and 60. I like these wedges because I can spin the daylights out of the ball when I need to.

Ball:
The new Precept Whereit Z (prototypical), unbelievable control and accuracy. This ball is hot!

About 234 feet, in Scotland of course.

Best golf advice (tip) I?ve received:
Be patient.

Most embarrassing golf moment:
I fell into a river during a golf tournament in West Virginia and was almost swept away.
