Golf: Conrad Take Individual Title At Border Olympics

A senior from Walnut Creek, Calif., Conrad shot a one-under par 215 total for a one-stroke win over Baylor's Jimmy Walker. Previously, his best finish had been a tie for third in last fall's Baylor Invitational in Waco.
C.W. Mallon was the next Rice finisher, shooter a six-over 222 for a tie for 11th.
As a team, the Owls were seven strokes behind Baylor and three behind Texas A&M in the 14-team field.
The Owls will next compete in the Sam Houston State Bearkat Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at the Bentwater Country Club in Montgomery.
