Conrad shot a one-under-par 69 in the second round and turned in a 67 in Tuesday's final round to tie for third with a Rice season-best 212 total strokes over the three-round, 54-hole tournament. Dejaeghere tied for 10th by carding two scores of 70 in the final two rounds to go with a 75 in the opening round. He finished with a season-low 215 strokes.
Neal Collins of North Texas won the event with 203 strokes over the three rounds. He recorded scores of 68, 70 and 65 to edge Baylor's Troy Caesar by four strokes though it was not enough to keep the Bears from claiming the team win at their own tournament. Baylor turned in a team 850, which was 12 strokes better than North Texas.
Rice equaled its three-round low of the season with 881 team strokes.
The Owls have finished the fall schedule and will begin the spring slate Feb. 21-22 at the Southwest Classic in Victoria.
