Maggie Riseborough joined the Owls as an Assistant Director of Academic Advising for Athletics in August of 2025. Riseborough came to Rice from Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she served as an Student-Athlete Support Specialist from 2023-2025.

In her role, she was charged with managing New Student Orientation, Athletic PAA Program as well as five varsity teams: Baseball, Women's Basketball, Soccer, Men's Golf and Women's Golf.

Prior to her time at Northeastern University, Riseborough was a GA in Football Academic Advising at Georgia State while completing her Master's in Sport Administration. Before transitioning to college athletics, Riseborough worked as an elementary school teacher from 2018-2021 in Brooklyn, NY.

Riseborough competed in Track & Field as an undergraduate at UMass. She competed in the shot put, discus, hammer throw and was a member of the 2016 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship team.

She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and earned her Master of Science in Sport Administration from Georgia State in 2023.
