Kayte Ledbetter was named Assistant Director of Annual Giving for Rice Athletics in January 2024 and is responsible for fundraising for the Owl Club.
She came from the Dallas Wings of the WNBA where she served as the Communications Manager acting as the primary media contact for the team along with producing all team publications.
Ledbetter is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where she returned post-grad to work the 2022 season with the St. Louis Cardinals as a Communications Associate. She attended Southern Arkansas University where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Mass Media. In this time, she worked with Mulerider Athletics before returning the following fall to serve as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. With this role Ledbetter was responsible for team publications for 14 NCAA Division 2 sports as well as managing social media and website efforts.
