John Noud joined the Owls in June 2025 as the Associate Athletic Director, Major Gifts.
Noud came to Rice from the University of Houston, where he served as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development. He will lead the Owls’ Major Gifts team and strategy while personally responsible for securing major gifts.
He began his career in collegiate athletics at Houston in 2012 as Graduate Assistant for Development in the fall of 2012 while earning a Master’s Degree in Sport Administration, and rose through the ranks to eventually serve as Associate AD for Development from 2019-22. He moved to the Houston Rockets as Director of Premium Sales (2022-23) before returning to Houston as the Senior Associate AD for Development.
A 2008 graduate from Michigan State in Marketing, Noud worked in sales at Dell, Inc from 2008 to 2013 before joining the Cougars’ development team.
Noud and wife Ashleigh are the parents of three sons (Finn, Parker, and Oliver).
