2008: Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Academic Honor Roll; All-Conference USA; Rice Honor Athlete; After a sensational collegiate season, she finished tied for 54th among a field of 88 entrants in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb., over the summer... Posted a time of 26.24 in the long-course sprint and was only 62-hundredths of a second off a spot among the top 16 in the country that would have allowed her to advance to the next level of qualifying... Career-best 50 (LCM) was 26.11 in Austin to qualify... Top Rice sprinter all season long, provisionally qualifying in the 50- and 100-yard freestykes... Took third in the 50-free at the C-USA Championships with a career-best 22.96... Finished fifth in the league[apos]s 200-free after a 1:50.76 in prelims... Top Owl with a sixth in the C-USA 100-free (50.39 in prelims)... Swam the second leg of the school[apos]s record-setting 800-free relay... Was the anchor of the C-USA second place finishing 400-medley relay... Lead leg of both the 200- and 400-free relays that finished second in the conference. 2007: Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Academic Honor Roll; Earned the Catherine Hannah Award as the Owls[apos] most outstanding swimmer of the year... Recorded a dynamic sophomore season to follow-up an impressive freshman campaign... Took third at the conference championships in the 50-freestyle with a career-best time of 23.31... Tallied two other fifth place C-USA finishes in the 100- and 200-free... Went 51.12 for the Owls[apos] season-best in the 100 and a career-best 1:49.91 for the fourth-fastest 200 in school history... Swam the anchor on the C-USA winning 400-medley relay (the first Rice relay in school history to win a conference title)... Member of all three freestyle relays that posted second place finishes in conference.
2005-2006: Closed out first season of college swimming as one of the top sprinters in the conference and with some of the best times in school history... Reached the C-USA championship final of both the 200- and 500-yard freestyle... Won the consolation finals of the league[apos]s 100-free then came back with the second-fastest time in school history in the event (50.66) while racing as the lead leg of the Owls[apos] record-setting 400-free relay (3:22.03)... Posted Rice[apos]s top mark of the year in the 200 with a 1:50.85 in the C-USA prelims... Placed sixth in the 500 at the conference meet (4:57.25)... Excellent relay option... Swam the lead leg of the second-fastest 800-relay in school history (7:24.98) and the achor of the second-fasted 200 (1:32.94)... Showed versatility by contributing to the team in the 1,000 in the dual vs. North Texas.
High School -- A 2005 graduate of Fort Gibson High School in Fort Gibson, Okla... National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) all-America... Four-time state champion in the freestyle... Four-year letterwinner for coach Connie Dean... Also played basketball for the Tigers... Selected as a USA Swimming Academic all-America... Member of the National Honor Society and the school[apos]s academic honor roll... Graduated with a 4.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
