Rice junior swimmer Arielle Hayon has qualified for her first international competition and will represent Israel at the 2023 LEN European U23 Championships in Dublin, Ireland, August 11-13.
Hayon will make her international debut when she competes in the 100-meter butterfly on Friday at the Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre, followed by the 50-meter freestyle on Saturday, and wraps up her schedule on Sunday with the 50-meter butterfly.
She holds the Rice school records in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly and is undefeated in each event at the conference championship level in both events in each of her first two seasons.
