
Lennon Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Senior boasts a 3.73 GPA in Economics and Psychological Sciences
HOUSTON - Rice senior outside hitter Nicole Lennon was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 First Team, the organization announced on Thursday.
All honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot with first, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees announced in early July.
Lennon became the Owls' first AVCA Third Team All-American selection in program history after a season in which she ranked second in C-USA in total points (387.5-16th in NCAA), points per set (5.03-19th in NCAA), total kills (329-22nd in NCAA), kills per set (4.27-30th in NCAA), total attacks (845-30th in NCAA) and attacks per set (10.97). Lennon ranks second among all active NCAA Division I players in both career kills (1,742) and total attacks (4,581).
Lennon was selected to the AVCA Southwest Region Team for a third consecutive year in her prestigious career and won her second Conference USA Player of the Year award while earning a spot on the C-USA First Team for a third straight year as well.
In the classroom, Lennon holds a 3.73 GPA while double majoring in Economics and Psychological Sciences. A member of this year's C-USA All-Academic Team, Lennon has earned a spot on the C-USA Academic Honor Roll four times and this past year was a Senior CLASS Award candidate.
Lennon will receive an extra year of eligibility and will return for one final season this fall.
