
Lennon, Graham Earn C-USA Player of the Week Honors

Owls have won 10 straight
DALLAS – The Rice Owls volleyball team had two members of their squad recognized by Conference USA on Tuesday after running their winning streak to 10 consecutive matches as Nicole Lennon and Carly Graham were named the Offensive Player of the Week and Setter of the Week, respectively.
Lennon totaled 46 kills over eight sets (5.75 per set) and while hitting .297 and posted back-to-back 20-plus kill performances, including a season-high 26 kills on Sunday in Rice's 3-2 victory over the Mean Green. In addition, Lennon totaled 42 digs (5.25 per set) which included 25 digs on Sunday for a 20-kill/20-dig performance. Lennon currently ranks first in C-USA in points per set (5.23) and is second in total kills (223).
Graham had a career weekend for the Owls, totaling 109 assists over the eight sets while helping Rice improve to 10-0 in C-USA. Graham began the weekend by posting a career-high 66 assists in a 3-2 win over North Texas, the most assists by an Owl in five years. She then turned around and dished out 43 more helpers on Monday, an average of 14.3 assists per set. For the weekend, Graham averaged 13.62 assists per set and now ranks 16th in the NCAA in total assists (541), first in C-USA.
Lennon, Graham, and the rest of the Owls will be back in action next weekend in El Paso, Texas when they take on the UTEP Miners Mar. 14-15 in the final C-USA matches of the regular season.
