
Owls Ranked No. 24 in AVCA Top-25 Poll

HOUSTON - The Rice Owls volleyball team is back in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 for the 13th time in program history, coming in at No. 24 in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll.
Rice (14-4, 12-0) is coming off a monumental five-set victory over the No. 2 ranked Texas Longhorns last Tuesday in Austin. The victory was Rice's second straight over the Longhorns in as many seasons, having also accomplished the feat in 2019.
The Owls, who were receiving votes in last week's AVCA Coaches Poll, have won 13 of their last 14 matches overall with the lone loss coming in five sets to No. 6 Baylor.
