
Lennon Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

Third time in her career
DALLAS – Rice senior outside hitter Nicole Lennon earned a spot on the Conference USA All-Academic Team for the third time in her career, the league announced on Monday (11/15).
One of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award, Lennon is not only a three-time C-USA All-Academic Team selection but was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection last season and a four-time member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. A double major in psychology and economics, Lennon holds a 3.74 GPA.
Lennon is the only active player in Division I with over 2,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. She ranked fifth this season in C-USA in both kills per set (4.36-22nd in NCAA) and points per set (4.84-27th in NCAA). Lennon also ranks seventh among all C-USA players in total points (358.0) and total kills (323). This season Lennon posted 20 or more kills in four matches and 10 or more kills in 18 of 22 matches. She collected 13 double-doubles and posted a hitting percentage of .300 or better in 11 matches.
Lennon and the Owls will open the C-USA Championship tournament this Friday at 11 a.m. (CT) when they face Charlotte on ESPN+.
