Graham Earns Third C-USA Setter of the Week Award

Owls have won eight consecutive matches
DALLAS – For a third time this season, Rice junior setter Carly Graham was awarded the Conference USA Setter of the Week award, the league office announced on Monday (10/25).
Graham had the Owls' offense humming on all cylinders this past weekend in a pair of wins over Southern Miss. The Owls hit .396 as a team across seven sets and amassed 113 total kills (16.14 per set) thanks in large part to Graham's proficient setting.
The Spring, Texas native totaled 90 assists (12.86 per set) to go along with 12 digs and three service aces. She began the weekend with a 35-assist performance in Rice's 3-0 sweep on Friday as the Owls hit a season-best .479, the third-highest hitting percentage by a C-USA team this season. Graham then followed that up with 55 assists across four sets on Saturday, her fourth 50-plus assist performance of the season.
The award is Graham's fifth C-USA Setter of the Week accolade of her career. Graham currently ranks 15th in the NCAA in assists per set (11.02).
The Owls (13-5, 8-0) have won eight consecutive matches and are currently ranked No. 25 in the latest RPI Rankings. Rice goes on the road this weekend for the final time this regular season when they face UAB, Oct. 29-30.
