
Date Changes Announced for Rice-UH Volleyball

No fans allowed for home opener
HOUSTON – The Rice Owls and Houston Cougars volleyball programs have announced date and location changes for their season-opening matches scheduled between the two teams later this week.
Rice will now host Houston on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. and then travel across town to face UH on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Athletics/Alumni Center. The Owls were originally scheduled to play at Houston on Friday, Jan. 22 and then host the Cougars on Sunday, Jan. 24.
Saturday's opening match, which will be streamed on CUSAtv, will not be open to the public in accordance with the Rice University's COVID-19 mitigation policies. Rice Athletics is currently working with the Rice Crisis Management Team on potential seating layouts to accommodate some level of attendance for future matches and will communicate those plans to our season ticket members and the public at the appropriate time.
