Texas A&M Tops Rice Saturday

No. 1 ranked Texas A&M won each of the 14 events to claim a 148-77 dual meet victory over the Rice Swim Team Saturday afternoon at the Owls' Competition Pool.
Rice's best results were five second place finishes, including two by senior Kaitlyn Swinney in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke with times of 56.99 and 2:00.57, respectively. Senior Lauren Rhodes was second in the 50-freestyle (23.66) and Marie-Claire Schillinger was second in the 100-breaststroke (1:03.49). Schillinger and Rhodes also teamed with Brittany Bui and Alicia Caldwell for a second place finish in the 100-yard medley relay (48.06).
