HOUSTON – Rice Athletics is pleased to announce its partnership with Paranoid Fan, a free mobile application aimed to improve the fan experience. Launching on Saturday, October 24 ahead of the Rice vs. Army football game, fans can find important Game Day information and stay connected to what matters most – from directions, parking, restrooms, apparel, food and beer, medical care to security.
Paranoid Fan allows fans to make all Game Day plans in one place, giving them the opportunity to experience more of the game and less of the hassle. Since Rice Stadium is geo-fenced, fans within 1.5 miles of the 50-yard line can communicate with one another in a local group chat. They can also share social activities like locations of tailgates, watch parties and meet-ups to engage with a larger crowd.
A start-up from Dallas, Paranoid Fan officially released on September 25 and has been used by the PGA Tour and AT&T Byron Nelson. It is currently only available for iOS but will be for Android soon.
