Oraby to Transfer

Rice University basketball coach Ben Braun has announced junior center Omar Oraby has requested and received his release to transfer to another institution.
"I want to thank Omar for his contributions to Rice basketball over the past two years," Rice head coach Ben Braun said. "I want wish him the very best in his future endeavors."
Oraby averaged 6.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore while setting a school record with 56 blocked shots. His average of 1.59 blocks per game ranked 93rd nationally.
The Owls will open practices for the 2012-13 season on Saturday, October 13.
